Blog post #4

1) What has the comments others have posted on my blog taught me about my own writing?

When I wrote my paragraph, I usually check whether there are some errors. However, sometimes I couldn't find my error, others comment to my blog and taught me about the error. In case of important paragraph such as Midterm paragraph, we have to send our final draft to our teacher. This comment corrects our mistakes, so our score can get better. In addition, comments sometimes found me a better expression. When I wrote a Midterm paragraph, someone from other class came to my blog and told me a better expression than my sentence. I thought her expression was better and I corrected it and I liked it too.

2) What have the comments I have posted on other blogs taught me about writing?

At first, I just wrote about others paragraph topic. For example, if someone wrote about a beauty of Seoul, I expressed empathy or added my opinion about that topic. Recieving others comments on my blog, I thought it is better to check their writing. I knew that the feedback I got is more valuable. In addition, watching others blog, there are many students who wrote their paragraph well. I was inspired by them a lot and realized that I have to upgrade my paragraph more.

  2. Hi Moonju,

I can see how much you put effort to write your paragraph and was impressed that you are very concerned with writing in English. However, while reading your paragraph, I couldn't understand a part you mentioned and would like to know what you tried to say. I felt that you randomly add "her" (I guess the person is who left comment on your blog post.), and it really messed up my mind to figure out where "she" is from. If you fully explain who the writer is and how she helped you to improve your writings, I would clearly understand why it was helpful to you. By the way, I really like your enthusiasm on writing and hope you meet another person who can help you out to write better.

    Best wishes,

  3. Hi MoonJu,
I see that you have put a lot of efforts when writing paragraphs. I agree with you that other student's comments can make our writing better but sometimes some students tend to give more negative comments than positive ones. I personally think that one should give positive comments first followed by negative ones. In addition, it is sweet of you to actually fixing the paragraphs as some of the students tend to just leave it as it is without fixing the errors. Hope you continue your nice work.
    Thanks.

  5. Hi Moonju,
I a little agree with your answer in second question. At first, I also read other post and write comments about their topic. Because I choose a post giving me bond of sympathy, I always comment positively. However, I learned the comments other people gave me was helpful to correct my mistakes in paragraphs. After then, I am trying to see other's post objectively and give them more useful feedback. Thank you for your nice answers.

    Have a nice day~!

  6. Hi Moonju,

Actually I got the comments from different students, and they always say the different comments to me. Through the different comments such as grammatical errors or compliments, I could write a better writing than before. Also, I agree with your opinion that the posting my comments to others' blog is valuable things because they really have good topics and good writing skills expressing their idea effectively. I could learn many things from the comments.

    Thanks,
    Jeong Eun
